Glass Food Containers

Use & Care

Your glass storage containers can be used in the oven and microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. Please note that the plastic lids are for microwave use and storage only.

Cleaning

Before using for the first time, wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly afterward. Both the glass containers and plastic lids are dishwasher safe (top rack for lids). Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads when washing by hand.

The interchangeable silicone seal can be removed for a deep clean. Always ensure the seal is properly aligned with the lid to prevent leakage. The flat edge of the seal should be against the clear plastic lid. 

Cautions

Plastic lids cannot be placed in the oven however, they are microwave-safe up to 100°C (under 4 min). Unlock plastic lids and place them loosely on top of glass container when using in the microwave. 

Do not expose glass containers to sudden temperature changes - with a thermal shock resistance range of up to 130°C, glass containers can go from the freezer at a temperature of - 20°C to a maximum temperature of 110°C in the microwave or oven. The oven temperature can then be further increased once warmed up. Extreme temperature changes may cause breakage.

Don’t place a hot glass container on wet or cold surfaces or expose the glass container to a flame or direct heat source.

Glass Storage Jars

Use & Care

Glass storage jars are recommended for dry food storage only.

Cleaning

Before using for the first time, wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly afterward. Glass jars are dishwasher safe whilst the bamboo lids are to be hand washed only.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the bamboo lids, wipe gently with a damp cloth and allow them to dry thoroughly before using. The black lacquer finish to the bamboo lids can scratch if sharp objects are used and should be handled with care.

Use food-safe mineral oil on the bamboo lids periodically to prevent cracking.

Cautions

Do not place bamboo lids in the dishwasher, microwave, or oven.

Do not soak bamboo lids in water as it will cause them to expand.

The glass jar base is microwave and oven safe but should not be exposed to flames or direct heat sources.

How to Claim

For a warranty claim be it a manufacturing defect or accidental breakage, please email us at contact@franklinlade.com with the following information below and we’ll be happy to help:

  • Proof of purchase – your order number
  • Description of the defect and a photograph or video highlighting the issue
  • Your contact details and address

Please note the 1-year replacement warranty does not cover cosmetic damage such as standard wear and tear, scratches, dents, scuffs, colour fading or staining which do not impair the product's functionality.

Delivery

What are your shipping costs and timings?

We currently offer the following delivery options within the
UK:

UK Standard Delivery

3 to 5 business days - £3.95

Free on orders of £25 or more

UK Express Delivery

  • Next day delivery - £6.95 (Order by 1pm)

Please note there is no weekend service for our Next Day delivery option (Express Delivery). Therefore, a package that leaves our fulfilment centre on a Saturday or Sunday does not reach the carrier until Monday morning.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

We currently only ship to locations within the UK. We hope to be available in more countries soon, so stay tuned!

Returns

What is your returns policy? 

We hope you are delighted with your purchase, but if you are for any reason you are not completely satisfied, you can return your unused item to us within 30 days of receiving it for a refund.

Please note that to be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, undamaged, unwashed, in its original packaging and in resellable condition.
  • The original shipping box should be used and the item packaged with great care as we are unable to refund any return that is damaged in transit if the goods have not been carefully packed.

Please email us at contact@franklinlade.com with your order details and we will provide you with a Return Mailing Label and a Return Authorization Slip which must accompany the returned goods.

Return costs are not pre-paid and recommend that you use a tracked service to return your items. Please keep a copy of your proof of posting and obtain insurance in the event of damage in transit.

How long do refunds take?

Once we have received the return and checked its condition, we will process your refund within 7 days of receipt of the returned items.

Please note that refunds are subject to the item being returned unused, undamaged, unwashed, in its original packaging and in resellable condition. We also recommend sending your returned package in the original shipping box and packaged with great care as we are unable to refund any return that is damaged in transit if the goods have not been carefully packed.

FAQs

Can I change or cancel my order?

You're able to cancel your order but only before shipping/dispatch. This is quite a short window and would be unable to cancel orders that have already been processed for fulfillment.

When will I receive my order?

All orders in stock will be dispatched within 1-2 days of it being received. You should expect to receive your items within 5 business days of ordering. We will send you a confirmation email after your order has been dispatched along with a tracking number for you to keep an eye out.

Note that we offset the carbon emissions from shipping our orders over to you as our products are carbon neutral!

My item arrived damaged, what do I do?

We are so sorry to hear that! Please email us at contact@franklinlade.com with your order details and a photo of the damaged item. We’ll send you another one straight away!

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately we do not at this time and only ship across the UK. We hope to be available in more countries soon, so stay tuned!
